My Spybot scan results regularly throw up the following red entries:

Windows.RedirectedHosts: Redirected host (Redirected host, nothing done)
spycleaner.net=127.0.0.1

Windows.RedirectedHosts: Redirected host (Redirected host, nothing done)
www.spycleaner.net=127.0.0.1

Windows.RedirectedHosts: Redirected host (Redirected host, nothing done)
www.flash.net=127.0.0.1

which I get it to fix

I run XP, SB, Outpost Pro (system fully stealthed), Microsoft Antispyware, Spywareblaster, Adaware SE.

How can I prevent these entries recurring???

Hello,

Which version of Spybot Search and Destroy do you run?
Do you have installed the latest updates?

Best regards

Thanks, Sandra. Should have mentioned this information. Sorry about that. I have SB 1.4.03 and update it religiously each day

Xylophone:

Are you using the hpHosts file? If so see:
False Positives coming from hosts file

How can I prevent these entries recurring???
See if you can get the entries removed from the hpHosts file:
hpguru's Official Hosts File Support Forum for hpHOSTS
General Hosts Discussions

Yes, I use Xphosts.

None of the entries appear I complain about are in my hosts file. I do have an entry called spycleaner.gold.com, the only entry with the word spycleaner. I assume that is not connected. Is it???

At all events, the SB Forum link you mention says things have been tweaked so that Spycleaner is no longer a false positives problem.

This link does say flash. net is being redirected to Prodigy

So in respect of flash.net how so I stop that recurring???
