cannot connect to web page on IE screen - urgent

Hi,

A box showed up on my pc and said it has been infected. I used Spybot Search & Destroy to scan and remove some files. However not sure if I did something wrong during the process, my Internet Explorer now showed only the Tool bars and the Menu bars but the second half of the screen is blank, it cannot connect to any web site or any web page that I try to go to. I did the recovery and it worked for a couple of days, then the infection showed up again. Then I did a basic scan, the IE screen turned half blank again. There is nothing in the recovery file this time and I don't know what to do, there are only the tool bars on the IE screen and it is not connecting to the sites anymore. I cannot send you a sample of the blank screen because I have to use another pc to send this message to you. Did I do something wrong when running the S&D? Can you please help to fix this problem ?? Or do I have to restore the pc to factory mode?

What did you recover from Spybot? Assuming you were referring to that function.

Did anything come up during the Spybot-Search&Destroy scan (assuming you have the latest definitions and updates, if not I would strongly suggest you update it. If you cannot do so, download the latest updates manually from SafetNetworking's website)?

There is no need to attach an image of the blank screen. I can pretty much visualize what it looks like from your description :sick:.

I have a feeling that your computer is infected with malware because your Internet Explorer is acting up.
