View Full Version : Browser being redirected to info.com and other fake search portals

My Trend active-scan recently identified several files on my PC related to TROJ_ALUREON.AUK, which it could not "clean" but it directed me to delete them, which I did.

Just prior to this my browser (IE 7.0.5730.13) intermittently redirected my google search results to web sites such as info.com, which looks like it pools together search results from google, ask, yahoo, etc., into a single search portal. It redirects me to several different sites, and seems to vary based upon what I was originally searching for, and these sites include, but are by no means limited to info.com, ononeweb.com, shoppingsteps.com, thecybernet.com, etoro.com, and on occassion, to hotjobs.com(?).

Trend could find nothing to clean, so I used Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware, as well as your fine product Spybot S&D, both of which found several items to clean, but the problem still persists. (Other products such as Lavasoft Ad-Ware and SuperAntiSpyware found nothing.)

My HJT logs follows, and thank you for any help that you can provide...

I have also been getting quite a few pop-ups as of late. Not sure it this is related, or if it is coincidental infection.
