rootkit infection

Hi,
I found today that my computer is infected with a rootkit virus (h8srtfnbsmkujns.dll). I was trying to install the new version of Norton (2010) onto my laptop and it wont install correctly (since I was unable to start it after installation). i contacted the Norton technicians and they found the virus. the removal however is a fee-based service and I would like to know if I can get any help from someone out here. If you know something that might help, please let me know.

Then start a new thread and copy paste the HJT log into it.

If HJT won't run please start a new topic anyway, make note of the situation and a volunteer analyst will advise you when available.
