Used every tool known to man and spent hours manually scanning the system files & registry to verify it was gone. Repaired hosts file & BHO's, cleaned up the firewall, and double-checked my network settings.
No relapse yet, but down rate is 16KB/s versus my up at nearly 500KB/s.
I ran winsockfix, didn't help. Removed all the libraries with LSPfix and reinstalled via add/remove components (XP Home), no change.
Netstat shows only valid connections. I'm not on proxy, at least not intentionally or consciously. So...?
