Hi Guys
I regularly use Spybot S&D to remove mostly cookies. Recently the program after trying to fix problems showed the following:
DoubleD.Gamingharbor 3 entries PUPSC
This problem could not be fixed the associated files are still in use(in memory)
Spybot suggested scanning immediately after start up, which I allowed but, the same DoubleD.Gamingharbor was there and could not be removed as it was still in use. Could someone please suggest how to get rid of these problems. Also, do you think this is the cause of my computer running very slowly, the CPU often is running at 100% for no obvious reason and the computer is not responding to the usual programs.
I am not very computer literate so I would appreciate simply worded responses. Many thanks

Hello Petrox,

This is the malware removal forum and the procedure is here:
"BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance) (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288)

If you need assistance in this forum please produce a HJT log and copy/paste it into a new topic.

Questions regarding Spybot-S&D support can be asked here: Spybot-S&D Forums (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=4)

This problem could not be fixed the associated files are still in use(in memory)

Did you run a Spybot-S&D scan in safe mode where one has access to only basic files and drivers rather than having all processes running?
Safe mode allows the program to try and remove items that keep reappearing after a scan, despite having been 'fixed'.

Best Regards. :)

Hi
I have now run Spybot in Windows safe mode and the DoubleD.Gaming Harbor entries could not be removed. I have now done a HJT log file and will post it in a separate thread as you suggested. thank you
