Custom scan?

when will spybot have this feature? most scanners have this option.

Perhaps if you were a little more specific about what type of "Custom scan" you are talking about it would be helpful.

You can customize the type of malware being scanned for by go into Spybot > Mode > Advanced mode > Settings > File Sets and check/uncheck various categories of malware to customize the scan.

You can customize the specific malware being scanned for by go into Spybot > Mode > Advanced mode > Settings > Ignore products and checking any product that you do not want to scan for. Or you can selected all and just uncheck those that you do want to scan for.

If you are looking to limit scans specific files and/or directories there is no such option because unlike anti-virus programs and some other anti-spyware programs, Spybot does not do an in depth scan of every file to begin with so it can't be limited that way. See:

There is a special scan for Spyware installers (files not installed yet) that can be limited to specific directories (actually it should be limited). To activate this feature go into Spybot > Mode > Advanced mode > Settings > Directories and add directories. There is more on what this feature scans for here:
