Virus Not Willing to Budge

Hi all, I really hope someone can help me. There is a virus/trojan/malware called VirtuMonde.de on my computer. It came on by posing as an update for my QuickTime player. And now it has attached itself to my system registry and will not budge. I've run SpyBot and also my Norton Anti-Virus, both programs remove the trojan but after a while it re-appears as soon as my internet connection is up & running.

I have tried to run HijackThis but it seems to have become stuck at '04 - Registry & Start Menu autoruns...' so I am still waiting to see if it finishes the process n throws up a notepad file with the Registry Log.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Also, I'd like to know how to disable TeaTimer since I cannot find the option.

Hi,

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here (http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/sUBs/dds) or here (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.scr) or here (http://www.forospyware.com/sUBs/dds).
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds.scr to run the tool.
When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
DDS.txt
Attach.txt

Save both reports to your desktop. Post them back to your topic.



Download GMER (http://www.gmer.net) here by clicking download exe -button and then saving it your desktop:
Double-click .exe that you downloaded
Click rootkit-tab and then scan.
Don't check
Show All
box while scanning in progress!
When scanning is ready, click Copy.
This copies log to clipboard
Post log (if the log is long, archive it into a zip file and attach instead of posting) in your reply.
