Computer Infections. Norton Can't even complete scan.

So Norton can't even complete a scan on my computer. In my Local Setting, Temp, Temporary Internet... It shuts down and nothing. Same Happens if i manually go to delete the files. It just wont let me. My desktop is being retarded with some Sunspy advertisement. Surfing the Net is a pain in the ass cause it links me stupid places... And computer runs at slower speed then usual. not sure what else is up, but thats the basics. :angel: oh and i get a dll error when computer boots up.

You have several different infections present here. Before we go any further, I hate to the bearer of bad news, but your log shows a very dangerous Trojan is residing on your PC.

The Trojan attempts to steal passwords, as well as logging keypresses and open window titles to text files and periodically sends the collected information to a remote user via HTTP. The Trojan downloads and executes additional files from a remote site. Configuration files may also be downloaded which define further behaviors.

I would counsel you to disconnect this PC from the Internet immediately. If you do any banking or other financial transactions on the PC or it if it contains any other sensitive information, please get to a known clean computer and change all passwords where applicable, and it would be wise to contact those same financial institutions to apprise them of your situation.

Though the Trojan has been identified and can be killed, because of it's backdoor functionality, Your PC is very likely compromised and there is no way to be sure your computer can ever again be trusted. Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of Trojan, the best course of action would be a reformat and reinstall of the OS. Below I have included a number of recommendations on how to protect your computer in order to prevent future malware infections. Please take these recommendations seriously! These few simple steps can stave off the vast majority of spyware problems.

AVG (http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/), Avira (http://www.free-av.com/ ) OR Avast (http://www.avast.com/) are good FREE antivirus.
Never install more than one antivirus scanner or firewall on your system! Several together can give you problems and decrease the reliability of it seriously!

You should definitely maintain a firewall. Some good free firewalls are ZoneAlarm (http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/catalog/products/sku_list_za.jsp?lid=dbtopnav_za), or Outpost (http://www.agnitum.com/products/outpostfree/download.php)

Regularly go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and download all the "critical updates" for Windows, including the latest version of Internet Explorer. Make sure to keep these programs up-to-date and to run them regularly, as this can prevent a great deal of spyware hassle.

* Avoid illegal sites, because that's where most malware is present.
* Don't click on links inside popups.
* Don't click on links in spam messages claiming to offer anti-spyware software; because most of these so called removers ARE spyware.
* Download free software only from sites you know and trust. A lot of free software can bundle other software, including spyware.

Please consider using an alternate browser. Mozilla's Firefox browser is fantastic; it is much more secure than Internet Explorer, immune to almost all known browser hijackers, and also has the best built-in popup blocker (as an added benefit!) that I have ever seen. If you are interested, Firefox may be downloaded from here:

Please make sure to run your antivirus software regularly, and to keep it up-to-date.
