Hi,

Download OTL (http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/OTL.exe) to your desktop.
Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
Copy-paste following contents into custom scan -area:
/md5start
eventlog.dll
scecli.dll
netlogon.dll
cngaudit.dll
sceclt.dll
ntelogon.dll
logevent.dll
iaStor.sys
nvstor.sys
atapi.sys
IdeChnDr.sys
viasraid.sys
AGP440.sys
vaxscsi.sys
nvatabus.sys
viamraid.sys
nvata.sys
nvgts.sys
iastorv.sys
ViPrt.sys
/md5stop
Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.

When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post it with your next reply. You may need two posts to fit them all in.

Hi,

Please see if you can find Extras.txt file on your hard drive.

Hi

I have looked and I cant seem to find it on the hard drive. I have also disabled the AV programme as well. Is this system badly infected then?

That Extras.txt log might tell something about reasons for slowness. Let's see if you can create other, similar one.

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here (http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/sUBs/dds) or here (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.scr) or here (http://www.forospyware.com/sUBs/dds).
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds.scr to run the tool.
When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
DDS.txt
Attach.txt

Save both reports to your desktop. Post attach.txt contents back to your topic.

Hi,

Looks like SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition is causing some incompatibility errors. I'm not sure if it supports 64-bit systems yet. Better uninstall it. Otherwise looks pretty good. Defrag has been run lately, right? If not then it's worth running the process thru.

Shall I install Spybot once I have removed Super Anti Spyware?

I'll run a defrag as well.

Yes, you may install it if you wish. Spybot won't conflict with your present Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware installation :)

All defraggers have basically the same target. Good commercial ones are PerfectDisk (http://www.perfectdisk.com/home) and Diskeeper (http://www.diskeeper.com/diskeeper/home/diskeeper.aspx). Of free options I recommend MyDefrag (http://www.mydefrag.com/).

Would you be able to help me fix these issues below that have been flagged up in the following programme?

I have attached a screen shot

Hi,

Details about that Firefox vulnerability was just released and there's no solution for it yet. To lower risk getting it exploited untrusted websites and links should be avoided. Same thing seems to be with other browsers on the list as well. Just have to wait for patches to be released.

Ok thanks for your help.

Is it ok to have the services running that are linked to Perfect Disk PDA Engine and PDA Agent in the background?

Blade81
2010-02-20, 14:53
Yes, those are PerfectDisk services and should be left running there.

Thanks again,

When I install Spybot shall I enable or disable the Tea timer programme?

I usually leave TeaTimer decision for users since some find it difficult to use :)
