I have recently found a file on my computer called catchme.tmp. I have experienced page redirects, inability to reach my server, screen and keyboard freezes, erratic e-mails sent from my accounts to others. SpyBot seems to be disabled.

I am not computer savvy. I have posted previously and basically given up when I was told to disable this program or that and I was unable to find a way to do this.

How do I backup my system?

Here is my HJT report:

Hi,

Let's see if we have success this time :)

Please visit this webpage for download links, and instructions for running ComboFix tool:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

Please ensure you read this guide carefully first.

Please continue as follows:

Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs (that you can disable) so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix, link (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic114351.html)
Remember to re-enable them afterwards.

Click Yes to allow ComboFix to continue scanning for malware.

When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.

Please include the following reports for further review, and so we may continue cleansing the system:

C:\ComboFix.txt.

A word of warning: Neither I nor sUBs are responsible for any damage you may have caused your machine by running ComboFix. This tool is not a toy and not for everyday use.

Blade81, thank you for replying.

Right now my computer is unusable. I deleted some registry files (which I have done in the past with no problem). However, this time the computer barely boot in regular mode. It begins to start, the Windows XP screen comes up for about a minute, then just a black with a movbable white cursor.

In safe mode I can start and get to the screen that shows Run in Safe Mode, Go to Latest good configuration, Safe Mode with Networking, etc. Except I don't know how to fix it. A friend said it might be the monitor. Tried another monitor and same thing happened. However, after that I don't can't even connect it to the internet. In both safe mode and regular it say can't connect to internet. Called my service provider and they claim it is my computer as they usually do. I can't even get the Microsoft XP logo screen in regular mode just a black screen. In Safe all I get is black screen. Additonally my computer now makes this high-pitched squeal (almost sound likes a scream) when it is turned on.

So, now I have a computer tech coming this week to fix it. I probably will need this forum again as I have had a Zlob virus and reformatted computer, I have used system restore 3 times and many of what I think are other viruses, trojans, and otherand it seems many others in the last 6 months. Additionally in my registry file I found numerous keys with Admin., user, and personal with total access to the key. I even one opened call Everyone that I never set or selected. Almost as soon as I have it reformatted I get some other problem, whether it's a virus or what.

Thank you for your time.
