Windows 7 compatibility

Setting up a new computer with windows 7
cme wit nortin internet security trial
I did not realiae it ws in stal and I removed in add remove without activting however after installing spybot and avast I lost access to port 53

I reformatted and this time ran the symantec removal tool before running/ installing anything else

questions
spybot compatability with windows 7 professional
T timer?
hosts file?
anyting else

I am assuming an avast- norton clash but have to ask
System has Windows defender
use t-timer in addition or instead?

Hello,

Spybot - Search & Destroy should work under Windows 7 without any problems. We have already done some tests with Spybot - Search & Destroy on Windows 7. Please have a look at this link (http://forums.spybot.info/project.php?issueid=373) in our forum.
A fully compatible and Windows 7 certified version should be Spybot 2.0, but we have no release date yet.
