Cannot Install - The server name or address could not be resolved

I am running an IBM Thinkpad laptop with Windows XP.

I tried to install 1.6.2 using an executable spybotsd162.exe I downloaded on my laptop. During the install, I get the error message:

*** Cannot Install - The server name or address could not be resolved

I cannot access the website www.safer-networking.org from this laptop, but I can access it from my desktop.

Please help me with this problem. Thanks.

Hello,

During the installation Spybot tries to download the updates.
You can disable this function in the wizard itself.
Just untick the checkbox in front of "download updates during installation" or "Download Updates immediately".
The updates can be downloaded later on.

Just download and run that file - it is self-installing.

Thanks - SPYBOT is installed and updated and works. I can now access the website on the laptop. I can access the updates from within SPYBOT.
