Ok the other day when I jumped on the computer I had this program called spyware quake 2.3 on it in my startup menu and was flashing saying my computer was infected and stuff. I found out later that my brother had been messing around in porn sites and had downloaded a Windows Media Player Codec from one of them which did nothing. I looked on another forum and someone had posted about a Windows Media Player Codec Virus . Im guessing that this spyware quake came from that. The thing that worries me is that the codec was a .exe so could it have done some bad stuff. The actual file was SV-CODEC-V4_01A.EXE.I used spybot search and destroy and it found spyware quake and removed it. But when I restarted and did another search scan it found it again. I then removed it and also did a scan with nod 32. I just did a scan a minute ago after a restart and it didnt find anything. I went to add remove programs and removed it and im thinking my comp might be clear. Im really sorry this post is all over the place and I hope you can understand it. As you can tell im not real good with computers. Your help will be much appreciated
