Alright, first time I've ever done this. Computer is an Hp Pavilion a810n. I was on fpsbanana.com the other day, and this fake virus tab opened up. Y'know the kind. You have this many virusses, click to delete, eh. I opened up task manager and closed iexplore.exe right away. Stuff's changed since then... Slow computer, always making that hard drive noise when it accesses something, and it's been pretty bad. Takes about a minute for IE or firefox to open, as with any other program. I got avg on it right away, virus scanned, removed like...11 malware/trojans and a bunch of tracking cookies. Still, problem's here. I tried Advanced SystemCare, by IObit, removed some stuff, it says, still, problem persists. By now, I'm sick of this, and I open system recovery and try to set it to factory conditions. Error. Something like, Cannot Find Restore.log, i click okay, and one pops up so fast i can hardly see it. A search on the internet makes me assume it says Error 2: C \minint\system32\Restore.log missing. SOO...I'm in deep stuff here I suppose, and I hope y'all can help me. I think maybe restore.log mightve been deleted by ASC, but I'm not sure, and I can't system recover, or whatever to set my comp back in time. Comp reboots and says it failed, maybe a side effect of the error above? Now I'm here. Sorry for the lengty explaination, I'm not good at shortening my thoughts, anyway, here's my HJT log:

Hi penguinm

To access the Uninstall Manager you would do the following:

1. Start HijackThis
2. Click on the Config button
3. Click on the Misc Tools button
4. Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.

You will now be presented with a screen similar to the one below:

5. Click on the Save list... button and specify where you would like to save this file. When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file. Simply copy and paste the contents of that notepad here on your next reply.

I have easus data recovery wizard up there as you can see; I used it to recover some pictures after my system recovery/restore a while back. I was wondering, since that restore.log file is missing, could I use that to recover that file from the depths of my computer? Even assuming I could find it, I get two error messages, is this implying that there are two restore.log's i would have to find, or is it just that one in the error2:filepath?

Please go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the programs listed above (in red).

Please run a new uninstall list scan when finished and post the log back here.
