Crashing on ''Fix selected problems''

Hi
im new to these forums so if this is in the wrong place or anything please move it.

I have recently found loads of virus's etc on my netbook, when spybot finds these and i click ''Fix selected problems'' it crashes and windows tells me to end the program. is this due to the virus's stopping Spybot do its work?

Im currently going to run Spybot in safe mode to check there.

Cant be arsed to reformat the netbook so any advise would be appreciated :)

Cant be arsed to reformat the netbook so any advise would be appreciated Is there a particular reason you could not reformat if necessary? It is usually a last resort depending on the type of infection but someone would need to take a look to make an analysis.

Do you have an up to date anti virus program installed? Spybot-S&D is not an anti virus program, the application searches for spyware, malware, adware, trojans, hijackers and keyloggers.

What is the operating system?
