Hi,
Firstly, I'd just like to compliment the developers and thank them for this software - it's great :)

I tried installing SB S&D on windows 7 today (I've used it on windows 2k before) and most things work ok. When starting the shredder, it is saying that it's failed to shred some files (including C:Hello World.txt).
I see you do have a sticky thread about running with admin privelages in windows7, but this message is strange. I take it this is some sort of test code to check admin privelages, and it doesn't mean there's a compatability issue with win7 that could be eating my hard-drive?

Thanks,
Gavin
PS: Please let me know if you need a win7 beta tester.

Hello,

So did you open your Spybot with a right click and choose "run as admin" (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/faq/42.html)?

Then run Spybot S&D and switch to "Advanced mode" via the menu bar item "Mode".
Now select "Tools" --> "Secure Shredder" in the navigation bar on the left.
There please select "Add files from temp folder" from the drop down menu on the top (hit the small arrow next to templates).
Then "Chop it away!"

Best regards
Sandra
