Recently reinstalled Vista and later upgraded to Windows 7, but omitted to reinstall Spybot.:hair:
Tonight I was aware that various IE webpages for random sites were opening and nearly all known anti-malware sites weren't accessible. Finally got Spybot back on to my computer and it found DNSFlush.cws and Win32.Agent.ieu, and I selected fix problems. After reboot the problem remained. I haven't seen any rogue IE pages opening, and since manually setting DNS server back to automatic Internet protocol 4 the previous unavailable sites are now available, but I want to be sure it has gone.
I've downloaded ERUNT and backed up the registry
I've run Hijackthis and attached the files below (This was run before I changed the DNS to "auto"

One thing new that has happend is my AVG antivirus flagged up C:\windows\Hkojua.exe today whilst doing your stages. I have removed it to the virus vault.
The RSIT wouldn't run and gave the following error "AutoIt error. Line-1:
Error: Variable used without being declared"

Something I noted. After running the ATF-Cleaner I wasn't asked to reboot. Should I have? Also none of my history appears to have been deleted?!

Post the log from Malwarebytes and then run this scan
Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
DDS.com (http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/sUBs/dds)
DDS.scr (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.scr)
DDS.pif (http://www.forospyware.com/sUBs/dds)
Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
Notepad will open with the results, click no to the Optional_Scan
Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.

Hi,
I don't see that file you mentioned, it must be gone.
You don't necessarily have to reboot after ATF Cleaner
Look under the 015 entries in your original Hijackthis log, those entries are in your Trusted Zone, do you know what they are and want them there ?
How are things running now, we can dig deeper if you feel you still have issues

The entries in the trusted zone relate to my motherboard manufacturer I think, but I'll remove them from the trusted zone as I'm sure they aren't critical.
In relation to if I'm happy things are running, until that other virus popped up I would have said yes!
I have scanned online with anti-virus from Bitdefender and ESET. ESET removed something relating to "ask toolbar", which I'm not sure if was true malware. Bitdefender seemed bothered by various outlook e-mails containing "iframes"
I run AVG 9.0 daily and it is happy. The Malware scans are now clear, so if you think the PC is now clean I'm happy to monitor for a while.
I'd really like to thank you for your help. It is good that for every idiot virus spammer out there, there are also the "good guys"!!
Adam
Good Morning Adam,
You can run this tool to set your Trusted Zone back to Microsoft default.
Download: DelDomains (http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/DelDomains.inf) and save it to the desktop.
Close all open windows and your browser
Right Click DelDomains.inf and select > Install
Reboot your computer
Internet Explorer is needed to run this program properly.
ASK Toolbar <--Not really malicious, it falls somewhere in the gray area, it does track your surfing and delivers adds , you can uninstall it via the Add Remove Programs in the Control Panel
How did I get infected in the first place ?
Read these links and find out how to prevent getting infected again.

Keep in mind if you install some of these programs. Only ONE Anti Virus and only ONE Firewall is recommended, more is overkill and can cause you problems. You can install all the Spyware programs I have listed without any problems. If you install Spyware Blaster and Spyware Guard, they will conflict with the TeaTimer in Spybot , you can still install Spybot Search and Destroy but do not enable the TeaTimer .
Here are some free programs to install, all free and highly regarded by the fine people in the Malware Removal Community
Spybot Search and Destroy 1.6 (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/)
Check for Updates/ Immunize and run a Full System Scan on a regular basis. If you install Spyware Blaster ( Recommended ) then do not enable the TeaTimer in Spybot Search and Destroy.
Spyware Blaster (http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html) It will prevent most spyware from ever being installed. No scan to run, just update about once a week and enable all protection.
Spyware Guard (http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareguard.html) It offers realtime protection from spyware installation attempts, again, no scan to run, just install it and let it do its thing.
IE-Spyad (http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,23332-order,1-page,1-c,antispywaretools/description.html)
IE-Spyad places over 6000 web sites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will severely impair attempts to infect your system. It basically prevents any downloads (cookies etc) from the sites listed, although you will still be able to connect to the sites.
Firefox 3 (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/) It has more features and is a lot more secure than IE. It is a very easy and painless download and install, it will no way interfere with IE, you can use them both.
