View Full Version : Redirect Virus - Access Denied (HJT blocked).

I am infected with some junk: some kind of virus that redirects my browser.

I have tried all the basic stuff: malwarebytes, superantispyware, and of course spybot, but I can’t get clean. I even used combofix, which allowed things to run again, but the redirect infection is still present. I am here now seeking help because I am clearly out of my depth.

Spybot is able to show me some of the infections (redirect host to securesoftwarebill.com, paysecuresystem.com, etc listed in the log) but when I try to “fix problems” I am told that “Access is Denied.”

Please help me figure out how to rid my system of this garbage!

UPDATE: I neglected to mention in an earlier post (that thread now closed - re-posting this as directed) that HJT is also being blocked by this infection. I only get a partial report, which I am posting below for what it's worth, though I don't think it shows anything. I'm guessing there may be some other way to generate the report necessary to get help with these issues, but I don't know how to go about that.

Any assistance or further instructions would be greatly appreciated.
