View Full Version : I think I have a Key-Logger

I play World of Warcraft. My account was hacked and looted a few days ago. I ran every sweeper program I could find - AdAware, MalwareBytes, SpySweeper, XoftSpySE, to name a few. None of them found anything.

After that - I changed my WoW password and had all my stuff restored. Then - it happened again later that night. So, I figured I must have a Key-Logger. But I have no idea how to be sure - or how to find it.

So, I'm coming here an praying that you can help me because I really don't want to re-image my hard drive.

Anyway - here are the logs from HJT. I hope they're helpful. Anything you could tell me would be much appreciated.

I did have a quick question also - is it possible that the Key-Logger doesn't turn on when I reboot the computer, but only when I run WoW? Should I have WoW running when I run HJT?

Thanks.

I had another question for you, if you don't mind.

I have a LAN at home with 3 computers on it. I only play WoW on the one computer and hence, my login info would only have even been entered on that machine. However, is it possible that the spyware is on one of the other computers and yet they're still monitoring mine?

Thanks.

hi,

I see you have several anti-malware apps. Its hard to believe a trojan would escape all of them undetected. Since they are all coming up clean, thats a good sign.
There are other ways one can lose passwords. I am sure the WOW site/forums or online gaming sites would have information about how accounts get stolen and how to better protect ones self from having it happen.
I assume the other machines also have updated AV and anti-malware and are coming up clean also.
