View Full Version : Spybot Unable to modify "hosts" file

I'm working on a friend's computer that is redirecting all the search links. I ran combofix, malwarebytes, and avira all with no fix. They have fixed a couple of issues but for all the rest, even running HJT prompts a message at the begining stating that it cannot modify the hosts file. Spybot give a similar message.

Here's the HJT log. I have tried to select and fix all the lines that starts with "01", but after doing so and re scanning it all pops right back up.
