I might have two computer problems (Hijack) and a bug that prevents me from:
My desk PC runs on XP Pro (SP3) and is part of a registered charity's LAN (the file server is Win 2003 Server)
I have done this--several times. to no real effect and i have aged about 25½ years and now have a nervous twich.. (just kidding)
1] Ran spybot it found nothing
2]Tried to update Spybot SD-- my computer (always) said there was no internet connection-WHEN there was
3] deleted Spybot SD (to try a new start)
4] Google Spybot SD for the address and was ralways redirected to (I think it was called) Spyzilla
5] C&P Spybot SD address into the IE address field and was once again redirected as in 4] above.
Repeated this 1-14 tome--always the same outcome....
6] Used the file server to down load Spybot SD then it was cut and pasted to my PC and updated.
7]Ran Spybot and it found one trojan--- I this it was like Win32Fake.Edt and spybot deleted it...Rebooted.
Tried to download Spybot SD -- The outcome is the same has above and searches are still being redirected.
I have run the HiJacK This utility and I have saved the log on the desk top
How do i fix this
