Microsoft update and Search redirects

Hi,

I recently had an icon to update Microsoft explorer. When I was finished I started having problems. I no longer can go to the Microsoft website to update any of my windows programs. When using any of the search sites such as yahoo or google I get redirected to different website than where I wanted to go. I do get a fake screen showing the Microsoft security center with everything is turned off. Also I keep having a Just-In-Time debugging window open on me.

Sorry about all the posts in the thread. I could not get the log to post all at once. I keep getting a time out screen. I think I found the line that was causing the page to time out on me. In the break of the log the line I had to remove was:

windows update - will be one word and in between the two // to make the url.

Hi,

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.com) or here (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.scr) or here (http://www.forospyware.com/sUBs/dds).
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds.scr to run the tool.
When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
DDS.txt
Attach.txt

Save both reports to your desktop. Post them back to your topic.

Download GMER (http://www.gmer.net) here by clicking download exe -button and then saving it your desktop:
Double-click .exe that you downloaded
Click rootkit-tab, deselect "files" and then click scan.
Don't check
Show All
box while scanning in progress!
When scanning is ready, click Copy.
This copies log to clipboard
Post log (if the log is long, archive it into a zip file and attach instead of posting) in your reply.
