Virus question/Help me, please...

Hi there. Just found spybot. My problem is that my email address book people started receiving emails from me with only my first name listed as 'from' whereas usually it lists my first and last name. The email subject was a first and last name of random names, none that I recognized. The body of the email was a link to a website selling viagra and other drugs in canada, etc. I received several of these emails too. I have a Norton account but never installed it on this computer (hp mini) (I know, I know..."Bad computer person!!!!) Anyway, the mini will not let me access norton's website or others that I found thru google.com. I found spybot on a forum and it let me access it. I downloaded it, ran it, etc. but it did not find anything other than some cookies. How can I find out what is wrong with my computer? Any help is SO appreciated!!!! Is it possible that the virus or worm or whatever this is, is not allowing me access to norton.com, etc.? :confused:

Spam emails with one's name in the subject matter are par for the course and do not in itself indicate an infection, however as you don't have an active anti virus program running and cannot access certain websites, please follow the instructions in this link to post a preliminary HJT log: "BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance) (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288)

Then start a new topic in the Malware Removal Forum (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) and copy paste the HJT log into it.

If HJT won't run please start a new topic anyway, make note of the situation and a volunteer analyst will advise you when available.
