Hello Matt and welcome to the forum. Why did you run ewido and then take no action when it found junk? Since you already have ewido, ignore the download instructions, but I do want you to run it in safe mode, so follow the balance of the instruction. Please delete/quarantine this junk when ewido finds it and post another ewido scan report.

ewido scan:
First download ewido anti-spyware from HERE (http://www.ewido.net/en/download/) and save that file to your desktop.
This is a 30 day trial of the program
Once you have downloaded ewido anti-spyware, locate the icon on the desktop and double-click it to launch the set up program.
Once the setup is complete you will need run ewido and update the definition files.
On the main screen select the icon "Update" then select the "Update now" link.
Next select the "Start Update" button, the update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.

Once the update has completed select the "Scanner" icon at the top of the screen, then select the "Settings" tab.
Once in the Settings screen click on "Recommended actions" and then select "Quarantine".
Under "Reports"
Select "Automatically generate report after every scan"
Un-Select "Only if threats were found"

Close ewido anti-spyware, Do Not run a scan just yet, we will shortly.
Reboot your computer into SafeMode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight SafeMode then hit enter.
IMPORTANT: Do not open any other windows or programs while ewido is scanning, it may interfere with the scanning proccess:
Lauch ewido-anti-spyware by double-clicking the icon on your desktop.
Select the "Scanner" icon at the top and then the "Scan" tab then click on "Complete System Scan".
ewido will now begin the scanning process, be patient this may take a little time.
Once the scan is complete do the following:
If you have any infections you will prompted, then select "Apply all actions"
Next select the "Reports" icon at the top.
Select the "Save report as" button in the lower left hand of the screen and save it to a text file on your system (make sure to remember where you saved that file, this is important).
Close ewido and reboot your system back into Normal Mode and post the results of the ewido report scan.

Java just updated again: C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\ to jre.5.0_07

SpyBot (Undated) - Found like 7 files but out of that it could only delete 5. The 2 that are still there are "cmdService" files.
Please download and unzip Ren-cmdservice to your desktop.
It will only work correctly if the folder is placed on your desktop and extracted !!.
http://downloads.subratam.org/Lon/ren-cmdservice.zip

Open the ren-cmdservice folder by doubleclicking it and then doubleclick the
ren-cmdservice.bat file to run the program.
A text will open when it is finished, Post it please.
Then restart the PC run spybot check for and fix any problems found.

Once you complete these instruction, post that ewido log and let me know if that takes care of your issues.

Thanks...pskelley

Also, I ran SpyBot and removed everything that showed up:)

But when I ran Ad-Aware SE and it showed that I had "New Critical Objects":(
Could that be my prob now?

Thanks for returning your information and for the feedback:bigthumb: There is one BHO I can not identify, I will remove it and do some cleaning, then see what happens.
Let me say that slow loading webpages does not sound like a malware issue. I suspect your ISP and I will give you some tools to check speeds, but I also suggest you contact them so they can run tests for you with their equipment.

Move HJT from the Desktop for safety. I prefer C:\HJT\HijackThis.exe, if you need additional instructions use these: http://russelltexas.com/malware/createhjtfolder.htm

Your Java progam needs an update: http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=12880&postcount=2

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FEEC06E7-CDB7-49F7-B067-FD4ACB3423D2} - \

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Enable hidden files&folders..reverse the process when finished.
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

C:\Windows\Prefetch\ >>> delete the contents (NOT THE FOLDER)
Prefetch info: http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/Gaining-Speed-Empty-Prefetch-XP.html

If you don't have a good cleaner, I would suggest this one.
Download CCleaner from this link: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Review the instructions http://www.ccleaner.com/help/tour1.asp
Run CCleaner, Windows & Applications when you run the registry cleaner (Issues) you will be prompted to backup before you can remove stuff, make sure you do.

Check your speeds here: http://www.dslreports.com/stest
http://www.pcpitstop.com/internet/Bandwidth.asp

Some other suggestions that may improve performance
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/community/columns/IEtopten.mspx
http://www.practicalpc.co.uk/computing/comms/speedup.htm
http://www.techbuilder.org/recipes/59201471

Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
http://boards.cexx.org/viewtopic.php?t=957
http://russelltexas.com/malware/allclear.htm
http://forum.malwareremoval.com/viewtopic.php?t=14
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topict2520.html
http://cybercoyote.org/security/not-admin.shtml

ewido is a great program but it does use some resources. Once the trial is over you can update and use the scanner for as long as you wish, but unless you purchase it you should turn it off completely so it does not run unless you start it manually.

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2001111912274039?Open&src=sec_doc_nam

Let me know if I can do anything else...tashi:) will close your topic within a couple of days.

Sorry but I do not know what update I need from that link:(

Updating Java:
Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on the Software icon > add/remove programs.
Search in the list for all previous installed versions of Java. (J2SE Runtime Environment.... )
It should have next icon next to it: coffee cup
Select it and click Remove.
Then Download and install the newest version from here:

Thanks for the feedback Matt. About the only thing I can suggest is that you uninstall the Ad-aware and reinstall it to see if that fixes the problem. You call also go here:
http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?act=idx register free and post your problems. Make sure you give them as much information as you believe will help.

Otherwise, I would say your are good to go, make sure you review the information I posted earlier.

Safe surfing...tashi:) will close your topic in a couple of days.
