View Full Version : Spybot starts at boot without being configured as such

I used spybot for years and regularly update it. Today, when I boot
into W2KSP4, spybot starts up by itself and starts scanning. I freaked
out, pulled out the network cable, and stopped the scan.

Looking under the advanced settings, I do see there's an option you can
select to have it do that, but it's not selected and I never touched it.
(I didn't even have the advanced mode active.)

I do run TeaTimer automatically at boot, but it's never launched Spybot
before.

Not sure whether this will happen again or whether it was a onetime shot.
