Using Win XP Pro 64; Immunization of all items except for Internet Explorer 64 \SOFTWARE (Secure Domains).

I have also tried in SAFE MODE, but get the same result. I am the Adminstrator.

Hello,

Which browser and browser version do you use exactly?
Which items are not immunized exactly?
Did you close the browser while immunizing?
Did you try to undo the immunization and then immunize again?
Have you also used the "Check again" function from the menu bar above?
If that does not help please also try to click a second time on the immunization tab.
Sometimes all items get immunized by the second run.
Do you have other user accounts on your pc?
Do you have other security programs installed that might block the immunization?

Also have a look at this (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=36272) link in our forum.

Hello,

Which browser and browser version do you use exactly?
IE 8 version 8.0.6001.18702

Which items are not immunized exactly?
See screenshot (http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll305/Arctucas/Spybotimmunization.jpg)

Did you close the browser while immunizing?
Yes.

Did you try to undo the immunization and then immunize again?
I tried it six times: In normal mode twice with KIS 2010 running, in normal mode twice with KIS 2010 disabled, twice in Safe Mode.

Have you also used the "Check again" function from the menu bar above?
Yes.

If that does not help please also try to click a second time on the immunization tab.
Sometimes all items get immunized by the second run.
Obviously not.

Do you have other user accounts on your pc?
Yes, as you can see in the screenshot above.

Do you have other security programs installed that might block the immunization?
KIS 2010. As stated, I tried it with and without, but it has always worked in the past with it enabled.

Also have a look at this (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=36272) link in our forum.
I am not seeing much that applies.

@spybotsandra,

I see that I am not the only one... (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=54857&page=3)

Any progress?

Hello,

Please open regedit with admin rights (Start>type 'regedit' in search bar>right-click and select 'Run as administrator')

open:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap
or on a x86/32bit system:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap
and delete the folder 'Domains'.

If this refuses to delete, right-click and select 'Permissions...', select your username from the list (or find it by clicking Add...>Advanced...>Find Now and then select your username and click OK). Then tick the Allow boxes, click OK and delete.

You can now open Spybot and select Immunize, and once it has scanned, select Immunize at the top.

@spybotsandra,

I did as you suggested.

Screenshot (http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll305/Arctucas/spybotafterregdelete.jpg) of 'check again'.

Screenshot (http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll305/Arctucas/spybotimmunizeafterregdelete.jpg) after 'Immunize'.

I have also noticed that "Unloading user registry hives might take a while..." appears in the title bar, during which time (until Spybot S&D closes completely) the system becomes unresponsive. I never noticed these symptoms until I did the Updates yesterday April 28, 2010.

Now, for some reason, I cannot edit my previous posts?

Hello,

How many users has your system?
The unloading is done by Windows, all we do is tell Windows to unload the registry hives we've previously loaded.
Or do you maybe have multiple Windows installations?

This (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=48057&highlight=registry+hives) thread in our forum should also help.

Hello,

How many users has your system?
Two, one administrator account and one limited user account. Well, there is another Administrator account, which is inaccessible except from Safe Mode.

The unloading is done by Windows, all we do is tell Windows to unload the registry hives we've previously loaded.
Or do you maybe have multiple Windows installations?
This is a dual boot (win XP Pro 64 installed on a two disk RAID 0 array/Win 7 ultimate 64 installed on a four disk RAID 0+1 array) system.

This (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=48057&highlight=registry+hives) thread in our forum should also help.
Actually, I have no issue with Spybot starting or running, as the user in that post describes, and it only takes about a minute or two for Spybot to close, I was merely curious about the 'Unloading user registry hives...', which I do not recall seeing before.

Anyway, if we may return to the original issue I posted; the Immunization remains incomplete, and I am wondering if there is a solution?

Thank you for your continued patience.

P.S.

I presume this forum disallows users from editing their previously posted content, instead only allowing editing of the current post?

I managed to get the immunization fixed, see http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?p=369911#post369911

UPDATE:

All is not as well as I had thought; although I have somehow managed to get the immunization to take in XP 64, now I have an issue with 13,598 non-immunized entries under Internet Explorer (32 bit) \SOFTWARE (Domains) in Windows 7 64.

I also see several recent posts with users experiencing various immunization issues.

SpyBot S&D has been, and continues to be (despite recent developments), one of my favorite "go-to" applications. I hope Version 2 is able to resolve these problems.

OK, this is beginning to become quite irritating.

For whatever reason, in Windows XP Professional 64-bit, the 5059 entries under Internet Explorer (64 bit) \SOFTWARE (Secure domains) are once again not immunized.

It just gets worse as I go along. After today's (May 12, 2010) update:

http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll305/Arctucas/5-12-10SBSD.jpg.

I cannot wait for version 2, as this version is apparently broken and is not going to be fixed.
