Hello and welcome to the forum. If you still need help and are not receiving it elsewhere post a fresh HJT log and I will take a look for you.
I am interested in this item: C:\Program Files\cleardisk\cds.exe
Is it valid, when I search the program it seems to be, but when I search the executable see what I get:
http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLG,GGLG:2006-16,GGLG:en&q=cds%2Eexe
If you want to scan it to be sure, use these free online scanners:
http://virusscan.jotti.org/
http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus
http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html
Your Java program is outdated and can get you infected quick right now:
http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=12880&postcount=2
C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03 <<< very outdated
Take care of these issues and post a new log and we will go after:
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/spyware.ezurl.html
Thanks...pskelley
Safer Networking Forums
Thanks for alerting me to cleardisk. I have managed to remove this from the registry and the executable files.
I have also managed to remove some ezurl files but have not managed to remove it from the registry
here is my latest HJT log.

Hello and thanks for returning your information. Let's see if HJT will remove this junk for us, follow these instructions:
Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.
Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ezurl] C:\Program Files\ezurl\easyurl.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [non] C:\Program Files\ezurl\easyurl.exe
O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {85d1f590-48f4-11d9-9669-0800200c9a66} - %windir%\bdoscandel.exe (file missing)
O16 - DPF: {5D86DDB5-BDF9-441B-9E9E-D4730F4EE499} (BDSCANONLINE Control) - http://download.bitdefender.com/reso...an8/oscan8.cab
O16 - DPF: {D8E3E5A0-2C87-4B99-8F0B-FDFF0B884F13} (bandinstall Control) - http://d0.spy-kill.co.kr/install/bonuspackv1.cab
Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"
Enable hidden files&folders..reverse the process when finished.
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html
RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:
C:\Program Files\ezurl\ <<< delete that folder
Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
Restart the computer and post a new HJT log. Let me know how you are running now.
Thanks...Phil
Thanks for your efforts so far.
I'm fairly sure ezurl was deleted, but has reappeared!
Having done a little more research, I think it has something to do with the following registry key, which I can't delete
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Enum\Root\LEGACY_EPNT

I found this at the last minute before I posted to you. I can not tell you anything about the tool or the process. I can say not to purchase anything if they try to get $$ for helping you remove it. Otherwise you might give it a try:
http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-ezurl.html appears there is a tool and also manual removal instructions, let me know if it works.
The information below can be ignored if this works.
Are you sure your removed both lines in the last HJT log?
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ezurl] C:\Program Files\ezurl\easyurl.exe
Try removing this one again and then you must go straight to the folder while HJT has stopped the running process.
and delete that folder: C:\Program Files\ezurl\ I have not run into this item before but Symantec does give you instructions for removing the registry stuff in this link:
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/ven...are.ezurl.html
Symantec also gives instructions for using regedit to edit it out of your registry. Make sure you backup your registry before doing this in case of a problem.
CounterSpy also has removal instructions, search for those items and delete the.

Here is information at Gladiator Security Forum:

I can't believe they are allowed to spread this junk!!! Did you download this??
I can also post a link to a good free registry editor with instructions for using in if you wish. I would like to do this for you, unfortunately, I am not in front of the computer.
Thanks
I have tried all the options you have found. I think the time has come to bite the bullet and re-install windows. I have wasted enough of your time, but thanks for trying.
I inadvertantly downloaded this file (and some others including the cleardisk file)
on a Korean website called PDBOX (from which live sport can be streamed). I was prompted to install an activex controller and started clicking "ok" on lots of boxes without thinking. So as you can see, I only have myself to blame
Thanks again for all your help and apologies for wasting your time
regards, Matthew
