View Full Version : Unusual behavior led me here

Frogh
2010-05-03, 22:41
I am not on "so called" corrupted computer as it does not recognize the visual recognition from the registration page. Last Thursday my computer began locking up after my AVG discovered threat JS/Dropper.
I had to uninstall Firefox due to the freezes.

I was told to run a number of things, malwarebytes, adaware, obvously my virus scan. MB did result in the discovery of a number of threats PSW.Sinowal.AW

ANyway, friend said install and run spybot. After it locked up on virtumonde I discovered that I should have disabled tea timer. I have not rescanned with tea timer disabled.

The following DDS report is where I stand.

Sorry I did not come here first. Let me know what you think.

Thank you.

Ok, I tried to run spybot with tea timer disabled and it still locked up.

I took the hint and started to back up all my data onto disc and the system locked up before I could get it started. I expect I can do a system restore, via Dell/Symantec software. I will move data via a thumb drive instead of disc.

Hi,

Please rerun DDS and post back attach.txt part this time too.

Download GMER (http://www.gmer.net) here by clicking download exe -button and then saving it your desktop:
Double-click .exe that you downloaded
Click rootkit-tab, uncheck files option and then click scan.
Don't check
Show All
box while scanning in progress!
When scanning is ready, click Copy.
This copies log to clipboard
Post log (if the log is long, archive it into a zip file and attach instead of posting) in your reply.
