So I think I may have been phished. I did a yahhoo search for spybot search and destroy, and payed about 40$. I recieved these emails, both sent from "Customer Support Center" <spyware1@productonlinehelp.com>:

Edit: Removed username and password but kept note.

It wasn't until afterward that my son informed me that it was likely a phishing scam. I've already looked into canceling the charges, and I haven't downloaded anything.

Hello Sliphippy,

I'm afraid you were cheated, Spybot - Search & Destroy is freeware for personal use and does not need to be purchased (although we appreciate any donation).

I've already looked into canceling the charges, and I haven't downloaded anything. Definitely call your credit card company to cancel the payment.
