Upgrade (Can't connect to server)

Hi All

My problem is not with spyware/viruses/etc
I have Win XP and the current version if spybot is 1.5.2
I want to upgrade to 1.6.2 and tried to install after download keep getting (Can't connect to server error) tries to install but just quites the install?
Do I have to uninstall the older version to install the New version??

Hello,

During the installation Spybot tries to download the updates.
You can disable this function in the wizard itself.
Just untick the checkbox in front of "download updates during installation" or "Download Updates immediately".
The updates can be downloaded later on.
