Hello! I'm not an incredibly computer savvy person, so please bear with me... So I recently built a computer, and now I'm in the process of getting the kinks worked out. I'm working off Windows 7 64-bit and have installed Spybot S-D (still doing research on antivirus). I fully updated it, immunized my system and created a restore point. Unfortunately my system crashed soon thereafter and now when I check the immunization screen I have 42 files I can't immunize because I must "run the application elevated as an administrator". But I am running under the admin user profile... These files are mostly IE domains, some are windows global hosts. My primary browser is firefox. Windows defender scans reveal nothing. I can only guess if these files warrant any further investigation. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Sorry for writing a book... :thanks:

Hello,

Windows Vista/Windows 7 might tell you that you are not being allowed to operate at the administration level of your computer.
You can solve this problem as follows:
Right-click the Spybot - Search & Destroy entry in your start menu,
instead of just left-clicking to start it.
Then, choose Run as administrator from the context menu.
You will find a screenshot of this problem in our FAQ (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/faq/42.html).

Best regards
Sandra
