process called system using up 100% cpu

The other thread was for me laptop. This is a different computer (that is actually connected to that same wireless network....)

If i end the process tree it will stop but unfortunately my computer shutdown because it ends a necessary process. I really don't know much about when this started or the event surrounding it. I do know that s and d did find a Trojan called Virtumonde. This computer did have limewire. I did uninstall it (it was installed by another user).

Btw, I found out about s and d from my school Frostburg State University that require people to have it when you register for the network. Since then all my home computer have had it. It was one of the best program i have ever used.

Hello again,

Disable Spybot's TeaTimer to make sure it won't interfere with fixes. You can re-enable it when you're clean again:
Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode
If it is not already set to do this, go to the Mode menu
select
Advanced Mode

On the left hand side, click on Tools
Then click on the Resident icon in the list
Uncheck
Resident TeaTimer
and OK any prompts.
Restart your computer


Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe) to your desktop.

Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be found here: C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs\log-date.txt

the scan took 10 hours and wasn't finished yet when i computer logged me off. But it did find 3 issues, Can i end it after it finds those 3 issues. Give you the partial logs. Then restart the scan?

ok didn't work but during the installation process it said spybot interfered with mcafee. I really don't think that true so i ignored it.

Hi,

Uninstall McAfee (removal tool here (http://majorgeeks.com/McAfee_Consumer_Product_Removal_Tool_d5420.html)). Then try an alternative protection.

Good free antivirus programs are:
Antivir (http://free-av.com/en/download/1/download_avira_antivir_personal__free_antivirus.html) and
Avast! (http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html)

When done, post back fresh dds logs + description of remaining problems.
