Cannot install Spybot

I was was infected with something that seemed to kill spybot. I could no longer update the software and IE was acting real weird. I uninstalled spybot and attempted to reinstall. Now I cannot reinstall at all. I get to the actual installation and get an error....I next through installation prompts and when the install starts I get an error pop-up that states:

Error sending request:
The Server name or address cannot be resolved.

I can not access the web site either. I went to look at my hosts file and all backups and current host file are gone.

Any clues?

The install file is spybotsd160.exe.

The install file is spybotsd160.exe.

what? I thought the installation file should be called spybotsd162.exe if that's the latest version available. why would you download spybotsd160.exe when the latest SB install file is spybotsd162.exe.
