Upon clicking the Spybot icon, I receive an error box with 'SDUpdate.exe' in the title bar.

The message itself states: 'There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into D:'.

Clicking the 'cancel' button doesn't help, as the error box returns.

Spybot has worked for me previously.

I am running under Windows XP SP3.

Windows Live One Care is my anti-virus software.

I am running Spybot 1.6.2.

Hello,

This is a known problem which can occur in Windows.
The problem is usually caused by having Drive C assigned to a device with removable media.
If you have that situation then either put media in Drive C or reassign the device to another letter.

There are instructions for reassigning the device to another letter here:
"There Is No Disk in the Drive. Please Insert a Disk into Drive \Device\harddisk\Dr1" Error Message (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;330137 )

Best regards
