Spybot Closes While Running CHECK FOR PROBLEMS

I am running:

Windows SP2
Spybot 1.6.2(Spybot user for 1+ years)
Database Update 2010-06-30

I reboot my PC and run Spybot, select

CHECK FOR PROBLEMS

Everything runs normal, with the RUNNING BOT-CHECK status line at the bottom with the counter running. Once the counter displays just past 129000, Spybot simply closes.

I have reviewed going back to see if I removed something, but nothing was evident. I have uninstalled and reinstalled.

What would the next step be?

I do not have any security programs installed as I am very conservative in the sites I visit. I use Firefox with Ad Blocker and Spybot fairly often.

No anti virus program? Are you using XP's native firewall?

Please see this FAQ to post a preliminary DDS log: "BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance) (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288)

Then start a new topic in the Malware Removal Forum (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) and copy paste the log into it, an analyst will advise you as soon as available.

If DDS won't run please start a new thread anyway and make note of the situation.
