Please help
I was trying to transfer programmes etc from old laptop to new (to me) laptop using pcmover which had I used before when I got a better desk pc. Before connecting the two pcs together by usb cable it is necessary to input an authorisation code in the old one - it would not accept the code I had. I tried the pcmover site which was not helpful and in the end I did a very silly thing I searched on google for authorisation code clicked on download and saved it to the new laptops desktop checked it with McAfee which said it was ok. When I clicked run it dissappeared I went back on line and found that I was connected to websites I hadnt visited (gugle was one) my wireless internet connection got worse and when Itried to run McAfee its virus protection was disabled.
I shutdown and restarted in safe mode and did a system restore then restarted and tried to install Spybot but the installation was interfered with and it will not run. I have used a memory stick to transfer DDS to the new laptop
