View Full Version : Kernel Data Inpage Error crash every 10-15 minutes :-(

I *think* I've done what I should've, as per the 'Before You Post...', but apologies if not, I'm no expert (far from it ;-))

My pc runs Windows 7 and started with this error yesterday - as far as I know (it's a shared, family machine...) nothing new has been installed or downloaded. I get to work for 10-15 minutes then it goes down with the message 'kernel_data_inpage_error' on a blue screen. Usually it restarts automatically, occasionally it struggles :-(

Your post is a few days old, if you still need help post back.

Hi there, thanks for your reply.

Yes please, I still need help - desperately! - BUT I'm not sure the pc will stay on long enough to post another log. I did a system restore at the weekend then all was good for 24 hours, wherupon similar crashes began again, often within just a couple of minutes of start up.

Thanks again,

Kate

ok. This may or may not prove helpful. It may have to install a Windows debugger first before it runs. Install it then double click the icon it creates on your desktop to start. Click the Analyze button. Copy/paste the results in. Is that a HP desktop or notebook?

Hello again

We've got as far as downloading whocrashed, but the pc has crashed each time we've tried to do the debugger HOWEVER I'm away for a week now - should I start an entirely new thread upon my return, or will this one stay active until then?

Thanks again

hi,

Since you mentioned you will be away, the thread should stay open. Is it a HP laptop or desktop? BSOD can be hard to track down, the cause that is.

As a precaution you should backup any data you dont want to lose, this would be content you created. The OS and software can always be reinstalled.
