Hi,
My PC got infected 2 days ago with the "antimalware software". Too many TCPs connections were opened. Thankfully, after spending long hours i was able to clear most but not all of the unwanted open TCP connection (there was a nasty sys file installed under windows/system 32/drivers ). Now when i run spybot and other spyware detectors, it said it is clean. however, i still have two entries when typing netstat. Those are:
TCP myself:3302 LB43.LOND.COTENDO.NET:http CLOSE_WAIT
TCP myself:3303 bzq-219-199-220.pop.bezeqint.net:http ESTABLISHED

linked to what it seems monitoring sites! anyhelp on how to clean them out. i used many softwares such as swdoctor, spybot, in vain. cheers.

Hello isaac1917,

Hi,
Here is the DDS rerport (ignore the date)

Please explain "(ignore the date)" which is 01/08/2010.

http://forums.techguy.org/virus-other-malware-removal/942275-intrusion-open-tcp-connection.html

Posters who start topics at multiple sites for their PC problem waste valuable volunteer resources, so please don't. Our analysts assist people at several forums. A member's user name may be different, the problem will not be. A worse scenario would be to run fixes given at one site unbeknown to the person helping the same user elsewhere.

Hello Tashi,

Each time , i open a new browser session an unauthorised TCP connection session is created, mainly to one of the marketing sites given above. Through a third party software, i have found that The TCP connection is created by wininet.dll under windows/system32. I have reinstalled a new one from another PC, but the problem remained. I have reinstalled Firefox and thankfully the problem disappeared. However, the problem remains with Internet explorer altough i have reinstalled it. any help please

Hello isaac1917,

Please decide where you wish to be helped and have one or the other topic closed.

Helpers look for a zero response so if you stay here it would be best to start a new topic and provide a link back to this one.
