The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "WhenU.FunPlayer" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
WhenU.Funplayer installs a browser helper object (BHO) and copies several malicious files to the Windows directory. In order to get started it creates a special task in the schedular.
Removal Instructions:

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$SYSDIR>\977o.dll".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\Tasks\ms.job".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If WhenU.FunPlayer uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.

The directory at "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\t\ad".
The directory at "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\t".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If WhenU.FunPlayer uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify folders!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "BHO.FunPlayer.1", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "BHO.FunPlayer", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{83877F38-C779-4F23-AA7D-7795E23DA8F4}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{83877F38-C779-4F23-AA7D-7795E23DA8F4}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "{840153EF-4186-466E-B2B9-45A76D3C7BDA}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{DC331DF8-D7C1-489C-985B-808102DDDD4E}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
Delete the registry key "{DC331DF8-D7C1-489C-985B-808102DDDD4E}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "Mdlea" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\".
Delete the registry key "Mdlea" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\".
Delete the registry key "Mdlea" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\".
If WhenU.FunPlayer uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
