View Full Version : virus? that opens web pages automatically

Pretty often (but with no apparent rhyme or reason) a new internet explorer page will open and go to any number of random sites. This always happens while I have a page open (never if I do not already have an explorer page open). Sometimes it will open a random search engine or other page and have searched for something I have typed in recently. The pages it opens seem to sometimes be legit websites and other times definitely not. One page I remember specifically is newsdaily7.com, it has opened this one several times.

I ran the search and destroy and it came back clean.

I have norton antivirus and have also used malwarebytes with no success. Not sure if these matter or not. Any help would be appreciated.
