Hi. This may be the wrong area to make this enquiry - please forgive me - I am new here.

Recently a command prompt box appeared on the office computer at work with the words "micka.exe". I immediately suspected a potential virus or malware file as an executable file and after hunting through the sytem; found its hiding place and deleted it.

The command prompt still comes up for a second then disappears. I am wondering if Spybot detects this as malware whether as "micka.exe" and/or any of its apparently many variations and if Spybot can fix the command prompt pop up issue.

If anyone here can help it is much appreciated or can I be directed to an appropriate area of this forum.

Thank you in advance

Goodrulz.

Hello,

micka.exe seems to be malware.
I do not think that we specific detect micka.exe, but if you are infected with anything we should be able to see it in a bug report.

But Spybot - Search & Destroy is only free for private use.
If you want to use Spybot-S&D in your company you need to purchase a license.
This is the link (http://www.safer-networking.ie) for the corporate use and version of Spybot - Search & Destroy.

Best regards
