The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Pornis.hlpr" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
Pornis is a Trojan horse that also hijacks the browser. It installs itself in various parts of the computer to ensure that it gets started. It causes system instability and opens several instances of the webbrowser with porn sites. It also disables normal system shutdown and uses rootkit functions to protect itself. It is advised to use an anti rootkit tool like gmer to disable the rootkit and then remove it with Spybot S&D.
Removal Instructions:

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd), RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

Entries named "Acronis Toolbar Helper" and pointing to "rundll32.exe ?<$PROFILE>\Local Settings\Application Data\Desktop Cleanup Wizard\dskclnwiz.dll?, StartProt".
Entries named "Desktop Cleanup Wizard" and pointing to "rundll32.exe ?<$PROFILE>\Local Settings\Application Data\Desktop Cleanup Wizard\dskclnwiz.dll?, StartProt".
Entries named "netc" and pointing to "<$WINDIR>\svc.exe".
Entries named "netw" and pointing to "<$WINDIR>\svw.exe".
Entries named "netx" and pointing to "<$WINDIR>\svx.exe".
Entries named "vlc" and pointing to "<$WINDIR>\vlc.exe".
Entries named "wdmon" and pointing to "<$WINDIR>\wdmon.exe".

Important: There are more autorun entries that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$LOCALSETTINGS>\Temp\1_goo.exe".
The file at "<$LOCALSETTINGS>\Temp\avto.exe".
The file at "<$LOCALSETTINGS>\Temp\fFollower.exe".
The file at "<$LOCALSETTINGS>\Temp\q1.exe".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\pcre3.dll".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\winamnc.dll".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\winamnc_backup.dll".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\winbudump.exe".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\svc.exe".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\svw.exe".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\svx.exe".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\Temp\avto4.exe".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\Temp\fFollower.exe".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\Temp\fla5E.tmp".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\Temp\fla5F.tmp".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\Temp\svchosty.exe_tobedeleted".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\vlc.exe".
The file at "<$WINDIR>\wdmon.exe".
You may need to move the file "<$WINDIR>\Temp\svchosty.exe" to "<$WINDIR>\Temp\svchosty.exe_tobedeleted".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Pornis.hlpr uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "<$ENV(Pornisdriver)>" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\".
Delete the registry key "<$ENV(Pornisdriver)>" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\".
Delete the registry key "<$ENV(Pornisdriver)>" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\".
Delete the registry key "ccef3f1db8ffa482994fafbae9faade1" at "HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\".
Delete the registry key "Follower" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\".
Delete the registry key "Follower" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\".
Delete the registry key "Follower" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\".
Delete the registry value "<$LOCALSETTINGS>\Temp\<$ENV(pinnewpraefix)>.exe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List\".
Delete the registry value "<$LOCALSETTINGS>\Temp\<$ENV(pinnewpraefix)>.exe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List\".
Delete the registry value "<$LOCALSETTINGS>\Temp\<$ENV(pinnewpraefix)>.exe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List\".
Delete the registry value "<$SYSDIR>\svchost.exe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers\".
Delete the registry value "2xn7sL2lYH" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Notepad\".
Delete the registry value "efdbxvsys" at "HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\".
Delete the registry value "effffcaudio" at "HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\".
Delete the registry value "o0u8fwK-V0I" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Notepad\".
Delete the registry value "svchost.exe" at "HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\featurecontrol\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION\".
Remove "<$SYSDIR>\sdra64.exe," from registry value "Userinit" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\".
Remove "<$SYSDIR>\winamnc.dll" from registry value "AppInit_DLLs" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\".
If Pornis.hlpr uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
