The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Win32.Phdet" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
Win32.Phdet is a backdoor programm which installs into the system directory or a subfolder of the system directory. It starts either through an autorun or as a service. Win32.Phdet connects to remote web servers. Variants inject code into legit processes in order to hide them from the user.
Removal Instructions:

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd), RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

Entries named "HLKM77" and pointing to "<$SYSDIR>\install\svchost.exe".
Entries named "MSSHELL241" and pointing to "<$SYSDIR>\install\svchost.exe".
Entries named "System" and pointing to "<$WINDIR>\system32:MSRPTE.EXE*".
Entries named "winlog.exe" and pointing to "<$APPDATA>\Microsoft\winlog.exe".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$APPDATA>\cglogs.dat".
The file at "<$APPDATA>\Microsoft\winlog.exe".
The file at "<$LOCALSETTINGS>\Temp\IEWEB.abc".
The file at "<$LOCALSETTINGS>\Temp\UuU.uUu".
The file at "<$LOCALSETTINGS>\Temp\XxX.xXx".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\install\svchost.exe".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\mssrv32.exe".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\Runescape_Stat_Changer.exe".
The file at "<$SYSDIR>\tPdrYqcgFu.dll".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Win32.Phdet uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.

The directory at "<$SYSDIR>\install".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Win32.Phdet uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify folders!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "{28977C2E-4075-94C5-CA2C-6C4E9EE84DB4}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\".
Delete the registry key "{WU1HN305-1VPR-30ET-LE65-DHIWRAAF32M0}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\".
Delete the registry key "illicit" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
Delete the registry key "msupdate" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\".
Delete the registry key "msupdate" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\".
Delete the registry key "msupdate" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\".
Delete the registry value "Policies" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\Run\".
Delete the registry value "Policies" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer\Run\".
Delete the registry value "StubPath" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{28977C2E-4075-94C5-CA2C-6C4E9EE84DB4}\".
Delete the registry value "StubPath" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{WU1HN305-1VPR-30ET-LE65-DHIWRAAF32M0}\".
If Win32.Phdet uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
