I just downloaded Spybot and after installation the program will not start. I am having issues as neither of my browsers (FF and IE) cannot connect to the INet but my mail reader (Thunderbird) has NO problem. The browsers start then end. I am running XP SP3 with all updates!
Any enlightenment will be appreciated!

If you are able to get Spybot to run using the link above,then you'll need to get the detection updates before Spybot runs it's first scan.
If you didn't/weren't able to install the updates during the installation,or you are unable to download the updates through the program,since you're having internet problems,you could download the manual detection updates.

This updates the detection rules. Only needed if you do not want to use the update function integrated into Spybot-S&D.
You could download those updates onto another computer,copy them onto a cd or usb stick,then transfer the manual detection updates to your computer.
