I have just found the following error message in Event Viewer. I am using Win 7 HP, 32 bit. Source is 'Sidebyside' & Event ID of 63.

Activation context generation failed for "c:\program files\spybot - search & destroy\DelZip179.dll".Error in manifest or policy file "c:\program files\spybot - search & destroy\DelZip179.dll" on line 8. The value "*" of attribute "language" in element "assemblyIdentity" is invalid.

Is this a "bad thing" or should I just forget it?

Thanks

Hello

Your delzip seems to be damaged.
Please send us an e-mail to detections(at)spybot.info , so that we can send you a new delzip.
This has also been discussed in our forum (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=55047).

I keep getting the following error message in Event Viewer (Win 7 HP):

"Activation context generation failed for "c:\program files\spybot - search & destroy\DelZip179.dll".Error in manifest or policy file "c:\program files\spybot - search & destroy\DelZip179.dll" on line 8. The value "*" of attribute "language" in element "assemblyIdentity" is invalid."

I run S&D on a nightly schedule and only get the above message when running on that schedule. If I run manually I get no error message.

Any help with this?

Thanks for any help.

I run SpyBot each night via command lines at 9 pm. I am getting a error message in event viewer at 12:30 am as follows:

Activation context generation failed for "c:\program files (x86)\spybot - search & destroy\DelZip179.dll".Error in manifest or policy file "c:\program files (x86)\spybot - search & destroy\DelZip179.dll" on line 8. The value "*" of attribute "language" in element "assemblyIdentity" is invalid.

The program seems to run OK but I sure would like to know what the message says.

Win 7, 64 bit.

Thanks for any help.
