Hi,
I posted about 10 days ago, then thanksgiving hit and it got so crazy busy I didn't get to check back on the status of my post, so my thread was archived :sad:
It was actually my husband's laptop that I was trying to get help on and now there is an error on startup that says:
"Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM"
I had run spybot on his computer and things seemed to be going better, but obviously it was not fixed. Here is a link to my archived thread:

I don't know what to do now to help him or even if anything on his computer can be salvaged. Please help!!!!
