Hello,
Last night I ran the Norton Power Eraser, and it's claiming that my hosts file is "bad." I am posting the issue on this forum because (as far as I know) Spybot is my only source for the hosts file.
Attached are three screenshots showing what NPE is saying. Is this more scare tactics against Spybot, or is there truly something wrong with the hosts file that Spybot is providing?
A new version of NPE was released recently, and apparently I'm not the only one to have experienced this issue: http://community.norton.com/t5/Other-Norton-Products/Norton-Power-Eraser/m-p/344286/highlight/true#M29268. Unfortunately, that thread doesn't indicate where he got his hosts file.
What's going on? Please help -- I'm feeling nervous about this.
