Need help with possible malware infection please!

The problem is I keep receiving "Errors found: Code 80070490" while trying to install updates from windows update tool.
I'm guessing Malware may be the cause but I'm not sure.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

Have you tried to run Update tool after disabling firewall first? Are those all updates failing (have you tried installing those one by one)?

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe) to your desktop.

Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location.
Please post contents of that file in your next reply.

Do you remember when this issue began?

Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. On command prompt type sfc /scannow. Give it some time to process and then try updating again.
