hi Ayre13,

Our computer is uploading in excess of 200 GB per month, our internet provider says that it may be a malware or spyware causing this to happen. Is there anything here to be concerned about?

200gb a month is pretty massive. I use p2p and might hit 22gb/month and thats up and down.

Well yes, because that could be all your personal data getting uploaded.

Dont know it thats actually the case yet but its a possibility. Or you could be set up as a proxy for relaying communications or botted.

All isps have monthly caps also that they may or may not enforce.

For now i would use the machine as little as possible and when your not using it make sure it has no internet connectivity, if your not sure how to do this then i would power it off.

Other then the upload are you noticing anything else? I want to check something in Windows 7 firewall that might help. Iam in linux now, i will check next time i boot into my windows partition.

It looks like your DDS log got cut off, seems to be missing a section. Why dont you rerun DDS and post the log.

I think we found the culprit, my husband left bittorrent and utorrent open all the time. Since I deleted them, it has stopped the upload issues. Thank you SOOO much for your help though!!!!:bigthumb:

200 GB per month

bittorrent and utorrent open all the time
That will do it, your ratio must be huge.
